So, I set up Dragon Dictation on my computer, that way I can get my thoughts out while doing things such as holding a baby (which I happen to be doing right now). This may be the only way that I get things written. No system is perfect, but if I can get a rough draft in this way I can go back and edit it afterward (which I ended up doing one-handed, baby in the other). This is my very first post on A Semi-Convenient Life. How do you write the first blog post? Do you just kinda dive into things go from there? Or do you do a short introduction? I guess I can do that. Let me give you a quick spiel about who I am and if you’re interested in more you’re welcome to look at my about me page.
Hello, and welcome to the blog A Semi-Convenient Life! My name is Sarah. I’m a physician assistant, artist, DIYer, gardener, occasional writer, blogger, and as of September 1st of 2017… a mom. I’ve been interested in getting into blogging for some time now. Unfortunately, I have been the master of procrastination and have yet to get things really up and running. I have failed multiple times with many other blogs, but I’m hoping that this one will take off and function like I want it to.
Actually, I’m excited to be doing this. I’m finally getting the chance to write blog posts and to get my thoughts out there. I’ve gone back and forth trying to decide what kind of blog I want. I’ve given thought to starting a recipe blog or an art blog, but I think for now I’m just going to file A Semi-Convenient Life under the topic of “lifestyle” and write on whenever I feel like. I will pivot and adjust as I go. Here’s hoping that I’ll be able to get a chance to get things out, inspire people, and maybe grow a gathering of readers.
Here’s to a new year and a new blog!
