Sorry for my brief absence this past week, But I was moving into our new house. I’m happy to report that we’ve gotten most of everything moved in. That being said, I wanted to take the time to share with all of you a brand new free holiday SVG and print design for your holiday decor!

Christmas is just around the corner now. And even with the hustle and bustle of shopping most of you are taking the time time create some handmade gifts for family members and decorating your home with a few handmade touches to make it just perfect for the holiday season.
Even with a pile of moving boxes in my living room I took the time to put up a tree. It’s bare except for lights and flocking, but it’s still up. (Now which box has the tree skirt…)
An Early Christmas Gift
I wanted to take a moment and make your holiday a bit brighter and create for all of you a special two for one download. A silent night holiday SVG AND printable for cutting!
This started out as an SVG design that could be cut out and placed on shirts or even wooden signs, but I realize not everybody has a Cricut (and you really should get one) and so I created a print for you to download too!
I even made it in two sizes: 8×10 and 11×14, with the 11×14 design being both horizontal and vertical.
How to Use the SVG
If you’ve never downloaded an SVG to use in Cricut, it’s SO easy! In fact, you can do it in 90 seconds. I’ve made a short video clip on how to go from SVG to mat below:
See? Simple. Video didn’t load or you’d rather read? No problem! Here’s how to do it:
- Inside Cricut Design Space, create a new file and click upload.
- Click Upload Image and then Browse to find the SVG file on your computer.
- Give the Image a name and click Save.
- In the list of upload images select your newly added SVG and click Insert Images.
- With the design entirely selected, click Attach. This makes sure the entire design prints as shown rather then separate pieces laid out on the mat to minimize vinyl use.
- Size your design as desired and click Make It.
- Be sure to check Mirror if you’re going to use HTV vinyl.
